Jennifer Aniston may be considered Hollywood's reigning queen of the little black dress (a simple black dress has been a constant in her wardrobe even before she became a household name more than three decades ago), but even icons sometimes veer away from their signature style to keep things fresh.
Case in point? This week, Aniston attended The Morning Show Tastemaker cocktail reception in Los Angeles, and rather than slip into one of the many LBDs already hanging in her closet, the actress opted for a sleek black jumpsuit in its place. The one-piece featured wide-leg pants and a strapless bodice with a bow pinned off to the side, and despite the switch in silhouettes, Jen's go-to accessories more or less stayed the same.
She paired the jumpsuit with matching black strappy sandals that showed off her burgundy-colored pedicure, gold hoops, a smattering of rings, and a classic black Chanel quilted handbag slung over her shoulder. Her blonde-highlighted hair was worn down in her trademark beach waves with a middle part, and she rounded out her easy-going glam with a bronzy glow and a nude lip.
Aniston's latest outing marked her first public appearance since the death of her Friends co-star Matthew Perry. Back in October, Perry passed away from an apparent drowning at his Los Angeles home, and in the wake of the tragedy, Aniston, who played Rachel Green alongside Perry’s Chandler Bing, wrote a heartfelt goodbye to the actor on Instagram.
“Having to say goodbye to our Matty has been an insane wave of emotions that I’ve never experienced before. We all experience loss at some point in our lives. Loss of life or loss of love. Being able to really SIT in this grief allows you to feel the moments of joy and gratitude for having loved someone that deep," she wrote. "And we loved him deeply."
Jen concluded her note, writing: "Matty, I love you so much, and I know you are now completely at peace and out of any pain. I talk to you every day… sometimes I can almost hear you saying, ‘Could you BE any crazier?’ Rest, little brother. You always made my day."
