Mod Sun is casual cool in ripped jeans and a sheer shirt while driving a vintage Cadillac after being 'blindsided' by Avril Lavigne split and her budding romance with Tyga

Mod Sun was spotted opting for casual comfort as he enjoyed an outing in Los Angeles on Friday while driving a convertible Cadillac after being 'blindsided' by his split with Avril Lavigne.

The singer-songwriter, 36, who recently became emotional while thanking his fans for 'saving' his 'God d**n life,' soaked up the sunshine amid his ex-fiancée's new budding romance with rapper Tyga-just two months after their engagement ended.

The performer, who wrapped up his God Save The Teen tour earlier this month, donned a pair of loose-fitting ripped jeans along with a short-sleeved, black button up that contained sheer patterns.

He slipped into a pair of black and white sneakers that were tightly secured with laces while throwing on a pair of black shades for a stylish flare.

The music artist was seen holding a cup in his hand that held a tasty drink while juggling a water bottle and his smartphone in the other.

He accessorized his ensemble by adding a large, silver-chained necklace that contained an assortment of pendants. The star also added various bracelets on his wrists and rings on each of his hands.

Mod Sun, whose real name is Derek Ryan Smith, parted his blonde locks in the middle and allowed the strands to fall naturally on each side of his face.

The Bones singer was then spotted getting inside a vintage, convertible Cadillac that had a sleek, gold tone as he drove out of a parking lot.

The star's outing comes just days after his ex-fiancee, Avril, and rapper Tyga, were seen enjoying a bike ride and a stroll along a Malibu beach together earlier this month.

According to photos obtained by People, the pair were seen wearing black hooded sweatshirts with the When You're Gone songstress holding onto the back of Tyga as they both rode on the same electric bike.

They were then later pictured strolling along the sandy shore in Malibu as the warm sun shone down on the two.

Mod Sun and Avril had first crossed paths back in January 2021 when she had stopped by for a writing session for his song titled, Flames. Later that same month, Lavigne appeared in a music video for the track.

During an interview with People in 2022, she had recalled, 'I knew we had a very strong unstoppable connection from the first week of writing and working together in the studio. Immediately.'
