The veranda, serving as a fundamental design element, follows the original garden path, while the central hotel lobby undergoes a transformation into a tea house. The previous canopies are replaced and extended into a closed loop, with the tea house serving as both the starting and ending point of the pathway. The porch gracefully meanders away from the garden's stone and plants, resulting in a delicate and captivating landscape filled with an abundance of diverse and twisting views.
For its construction, the porch utilizes lightweight steel materials. Slim pillars, rear beams, and the ground are coated with a dark gray fluorocarbon paint. This consistent color choice conceals the material's properties, creating a seamless visual flow that transcends the perception of materials. The veranda gracefully separates itself from the water, stone, and plants found within the courtyard, crafting a garden landscape characterized by its rich density, ever-changing perspectives, and captivating twists and turns. By considering the distinct landscapes created by the stone elements and plantings along the pathway, the veranda expands in certain areas, forming resting nodes that offer both dynamic views while in motion and tranquil vantage points when stationary. Furthermore, these rest nodes also serve as ornamental spaces, transforming the courtyard into a place where people can come together, communicate, and perhaps even discover love.
