Hairstylist Chris McMillan shared a breakdown of Aniston’s new chop, which everyone is calling "The Rachel 2.0"
Jennifer Aniston knows how to make an Internet-breaking red carpet entrance.
The Morning Show star, 54, blew fans away yet again when she arrived at the Golden Globes on Sunday with a new haircut courtesy of her go-to stylist, and close friend, Chris McMillan.
The Friends alum debuted her new short style at the starry event — and it immediately gave us déjà vu to “The Rachel” cut, which was famously created by McMillan in the ‘90s for the sitcom.
Fun fact: Aniston wasn't a fan of the look then and McMillan told Marie Clare years ago that he knows very well that it was "Jen's least favorite hairstyle" because "I hear about it every time I style her hair."
On Tuesday, McMillan finally shared the inspiration behind the transformation just days after its reveal.
While he didn’t confirm whether or not it was directly drawn from Aniston’s Rachel Greene days, the Beverly Hills-based pro did write that he aimed for “sexy, natural and effortless” with her blunt collarbone-hitting cut with “invisible layers” throughout.
What superstar products took McMillan from start to finish?
He prepped the famous mane with shampoo and conditioner from Aniston’s hair care brand, Lolavie, and finished it off with a mix of the star’s hair paste and oil, “manipulating” the ends of her strands for his desired vision.
Aniston had the perfect look to go with her fabulous hair.
The five-time Golden Globe winner pulled for her red carpet uniform, opting for a custom black Dolce & Gabbana gown. The strapless number featured a fitted bodice and skirt with sparkly scalloped detail.
Her accessories were minimal opting for a ring and drop earrings.
Since their Friends days, McMillan has taken Aniston’s locks to new heights — or lengths — from her modern layers worn to the Murder Mystery premiere last March to her breast-covering Rapunzel hair for her recent Allure cover.
“We've come a long way, baby,” Aniston once wrote in 2019 in an Instagram birthday tribute for McMillan featuring a throwback photo of the duo behind-the-scenes on set.
